Questions about After Bingo

Updated on

The short answers to what people ask before their first round: what the game costs, what it needs, how to play with friends or alone, how long a round takes, what is saved where and what is collected. Each answer comes first; the page it links to says the rest.

Questions

Is After Bingo free to play?

Yes. The whole game is free in the browser, with nothing to buy and no adverts. The bingo balls that buy prizes are earned by playing rounds, never sold. Start playing.

Do I need an account to play?

No. Pick a man and a name and play: no sign-up, no email, no password. Online games use an anonymous sign-in that the game does by itself. Your progress is kept in your browser instead.

Do I have to download or install anything?

No. The game runs in your browser at afterbingo.app/play, on a computer, a tablet or a phone. The first visit loads the game, which takes a moment on a slow connection.

Can I play on my phone or tablet?

Yes, in its browser, held upright. One finger walks wherever it lands, a second finger aims, a quick tap attacks the nearest enemy in reach, and a quick swipe of the walking finger dashes. How to play has the details.

How do I play with friends?

Press Online, then Host, and share the code or the link the lobby gives you. Up to three friends join from their own browsers by typing the code or opening the link, then you press Start. Playing with friends walks through it.

Where do I type a friend's code?

On the Join screen: press Online, then Join, type the six characters on the keys it shows and press Join. A link from a friend opens that screen with the code already filled in. A code that matches no game says so.

Can I play alone, without other people?

Yes. Press Play and you fight bots, up to eight of them, at Easy, Normal, Hard or Very hard. Rounds against bots count for your XP and bingo balls, and harder bots pay more. See the bots.

How long does a round last?

A round lasts five minutes. Whoever has the most kills when the clock runs out wins, and fewer deaths break a tie. Then the scoreboard shows the round, and the next one starts after a short countdown unless you go back to the menu.

How many players fit in one match?

Up to twelve online: up to four people, with bots in the seats the host fills. Alone, a match holds you and up to eight bots.

Is my progress saved?

Yes, in the browser you play in, on that device: your XP, rank, bingo balls, prizes, stats and options. Another browser or another device starts from the beginning, and clearing the site's data clears your progress too.

What does the game collect about me?

Play statistics through Google Analytics for Firebase, such as which screens open and how rounds go, never your player name or a game's code and never for advertising. They are on by default; Options turns them off at once. The privacy policy has the rest.

What are the controls on a keyboard?

W, A, S and D or the arrow keys move, the mouse aims, the left button or Space attacks and Shift dashes. Tab shows the scoreboard and Escape pauses. A gamepad works too, and so does touch.

Who can I play as?

Stan or Lou. You pick one on your first visit and can switch on the Profile at any time, along with your name and shirt colour. Otis and Gus, the club's other two men, play only as bots.

Do prizes make my man stronger?

No. Knives, outfits, hats and trails change only how your man looks: every man has the same health and the same knife, whatever he wears. Prizes are bought with bingo balls or given at the ranks. See ranks and prizes.
