Playing After Bingo alone against bots
Press Play, choose the map, how many bots and how hard they play, and the match starts at once, with nobody else needed. A match takes up to eight bots, five unless you change it, at one of four difficulties: Easy, Normal, Hard and Very hard. Harder bots react faster, aim better and remember you longer, and a round against them pays more XP and more bingo balls.
The four difficulties
Every number of every difficulty, from how long a bot takes to react to the levels it shows on the scoreboard:

| Reaction | 0.6 s | 0.5 s | 0.35 s | 0.15 s |
| Aim error | 14 degrees | 11 degrees | 7 degrees | 3 degrees |
| Remembers you for | 1.5 s | 2 s | 3 s | 5 s |
| Retreats | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Leads its shots | No | No | No | Yes |
| Sees under a tree | No | No | Within 3 tiles | Within 5 tiles |
| Dash chance | 25% | 40% | 60% | 90% |
| XP and bingo balls | x0.75 | x1 | x1.25 | x1.5 |
| Levels shown | 1 to 4 | 5 to 12 | 13 to 25 | 26 to 46 |
What changes from Easy to Very hard
- Reaction: how long a bot takes to start fighting a man it has just seen. Very hard bots are on you almost at once; Easy ones give you a moment.
- Aim: every bot misses a little to the side. The harder the bot, the smaller the miss.
- Memory: how long a bot keeps hunting a man it has lost sight of before it gives up.
- Retreat: from Normal up, a hurt bot runs back to its own side of the fight, or to a health pack there. Easy bots never back off.
- Leading shots: Very hard bots aim where a running man will be, not where he is.
- The dash: every bot dashes, to close in with a knife or a bat, to get away from one, or across the line of fire. The harder the bot, the more often.
- Peeking: a man under a tree or the gazebo's roof is hidden from bots. Hard bots peek from 3 tiles away and Very hard bots from 5 tiles; Easy and Normal bots never do.
How a bot plays
A bot sees in straight lines and not through walls. It picks up a better weapon when there is one nearby, and with nothing but the knife and nobody close, it heads for the nearest weapon. Low on health with nobody in sight, it walks to a health pack. It fights each weapon at its own distance: close with the knife and the bat, a few tiles out with the shotgun and the tazer, further back with the SMG and the bazooka, and it keeps moving while it shoots. It holds its fire at a man who has just respawned and is still protected.
A bot that loses you under a tree hunts the spot where it saw you last. It finds you anyway if you hit it a moment ago, or if you fire within its sight: hiding works only while you hold your fire.
The grandpas
The bots go by old American names: Earl, Harold, Clarence, Bert, Alf, Floyd, Percy, Vernon, Walter, Leroy, Norman and Chester. Each one plays as one of the four men, Stan, Lou, Otis or Gus, drawn at the start of the round; Otis and Gus show up only as bots, since you play Stan or Lou. Bots wear no prizes. The level beside a bot's name on the scoreboard is a costume drawn from its difficulty's range, not something it earned, so a Very hard bot looks the part.
How many bots
The match setup runs from no bots at all up to eight; it starts at five. With the maximum, a match against bots has nine men in it, you included. Fewer bots means longer walks between fights and more time to collect weapons; more means a crowd round the bazooka. Online, the host picks the bots the same way, and they play beside up to four humans in twelve seats.
What the difficulty pays
Against bots the whole round's XP and bingo balls are multiplied by the difficulty: Easy pays 0.75 of the plain amount, Normal the plain amount, Hard 1.25 and Very hard 1.5. Online rounds always pay the plain amount, whatever the bots. A round only pays when you play it to its end. The tables are on ranks and prizes.
Against bots, the pause stops the whole match, so the kettle can wait. When you are ready for humans, see playing with friends. The weapons page says which weapon suits which fight, and how to play has the controls. Or just start a round.
